Revel and the lake of Saint Férréol
In Revel, City of Art Furniture, you can also visit a medieval bastide founded in 1342 by Philippe VI de Valois at the foot of the Montagne Noire.
By its octagonal shape and its geometrical construction, Revel, model bastide parfait, is an almost unique example in France. On Saturdays the inratable market of local producers in the colors of the south west.
Situated a stone’s throw from Revel, this lake, bordered by a pine forest, is an ideal place to relax. You can practice all kinds of water activities: canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, pedal boats, supervised swimming.
The paper mill of Brousse
True mill in a bucolic setting, you will learn how paper was made at the beginning of the last century.
It’s a real family outing or you can even make your own sheet of paper.
The mill is open 360 days a year.
The Canal du Midi
Built between 1666 and 1681, the Canal du Midi was originally intended for the transport of goods between Toulouse and Sète.
Entirely reconverted to tourism, the canal has been listed in the World Heritage of Unesco since 1996 and is full of exceptional sites including the many locks dotted along its route between the Mediterranean and the Garonne.
